Analytics
Data Analytics is a often considered a subfield of computer science that uses math, statistics, and machine learning algorithms to find meaningful patterns in data. Analytics generally involves sifting through data to discover, interpret, and share new insights and knowledge. The are generally four forms of analytics: descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive.Descriptive analytics can show 'what happened'. Diagnostic analytics attempts to explain 'why things happened'. Predictive analytics uses existing data and modeling techniques to predict what is likely to happen'. Finally, prescriptive analytics uses AI (Artificial Intelligence) techniques to gain insight on how to respond, in other words, 'what to do next'.
